Call for partnership: EU funding for energy efficiency piloting action with tenants

HOUSINGEUROPE and green with IT support a project call from the European Union focussing a piloting action for landlords and tenants: „engaging private consumers towards sustainable energy“ is now open for funding:

This „coordination and support action“ is funded with 100% and involves housing companies. All costs for labour (engineers, social workers, administration) are covered to a maximum of expected € Mio. 2. Merely an amount for hardware (which is principally not fundable) remains for the partners from the European housing industry.

Deadline is the 07th of june. The preparations for a collaborate piloting action were adjusted between the initiator (network green with it) and the HOUSINGEUROPE experts together with the GdW-structures in Brussels.

Housing companies all across EU are called to show their interest to join clearly defined technological and socio-economical action packages to implement in their inventory. Finally, a consortia of a minimum of three climatic zones are requested to start action in 2018. Jörg Lorenz, CEO of the network green with IT: “ Attractive funding pools are hard to find for innovative actions in communal housing structures. While private owners in single houses have many options to participate in funding programms, the members of the HOUSINGEUROPE-community find lots of barriers for funding in their national innovation programms. We want to close this gap with this initiative now and want to welcome partners from the housing industry with earthy and practical curiosity for disruptive solutions in bigger quarters, which expect new ways to drop energy consumption rates. The focus is the invovement of the tenants to become a part of the national carbon drop actions following COP 21 targets and focussing sustainable needs“.
